Yes, around 5 days before your switch date. You can update your opening readings by signing in to your Online Account and updating them there. This helps us to start your account off accurately. We'll give your readings to your old supplier too, so you don't have to. One less thing to worry about.
Can my account be opened to estimates?
Yes, if you're away/on holiday or you don't provide your opening readings, we'll just agree estimates with your old supplier.
Your old supplier may reject opening readings you provide us, but this doesn't happen very often and we can raise a dispute for you if their estimates don't work out in your favour.
