All opening meter readings are verified by an independent industry verifier. If the meter reading you provide falls outside of the expected range, then they will propose an estimated reading. This is done to stop incorrect readings being used.
If we haven’t used the reading you gave us when we opened your account, and you are concerned that the reading we used is very different then please send a recent photo of your meter to team@igloo.energy and we’ll investigate this for you. We’ll get in touch with your previous supplier to make sure they are using the same reading as us.
Even if we haven’t used the reading you gave us, you won’t be paying for your energy twice as your old supplier will be using the same reading to close your account with them.
