Yes you can.
If you would like to change your Direct Debit amount, you can easily do this yourself from the “Manage my payments” section of your account. Simply log in to your account and go to the Billing section where you will find options to change your payment.
Changing your Direct Debit amount
Before changing your Direct Debit, we may ask you for an up-to-date meter reading. This is to ensure you have the most accurate view of your account balance before you make a change.
To change you Direct Debit amount, click on the plus and minus buttons to select a new value.
We will show a forecast of your account balance in 12 months’ time, based on your selection. This takes in to account your current account balance, the amount you have selected and your forecast annual energy usage.
We also show you a recommended payment. This is the amount we recommended you pay each month. Based on the latest information we have about how much energy you use, paying this amount should result in your account balance being in a healthy state in 12 months’ time. Restrictions to changing your Direct Debit
If you have not received your first bill from us you will not be able to change your Direct Debit amount online. This is because your account needs to be setup correctly, including being switched over from your old supplier before we can accept any changes to the Direct Debit amount.
The minimum you can choose to pay each month is 80% of your recommended payment. The self-serve feature is designed to allow you to manage your Direct Debit payments and if needed take some of the pressure off of your monthly expenses. But it is still important that you pay enough to cover how much energy you use. The maximum you can set your Direct Debit payment amount is £5,000.
Please note, when using this feature you can only select whole pounds and not pence.
